New Tests Contradict Arsenic Scare At Ft Reno But Park Remains Closed
05.23.08
The Washington Post reports that "District and federal officials released new soil test results yesterday showing that arsenic levels at Fort Reno Park in Northwest Washington are safe" but the National Park Service still has the park barricaded.
If you live in DC you will be familiar with the contradictions that fly back and forth between the federal and local governments. One hand rarely speaks candidly with, much less works with, the other in this town. It is uncertain what this means for the future of the Fort Reno Summer Concert Series but if the soil is safe we say, "Play ball!"

We'll try to keep up to date on the details as they happen so stay tuned.
