Fort Reno Summer Concerts Begin

The Fort Reno Summer Concert Series begins tonight, June 22, with performances by Pash, Funk Ark, and The Sweater Set. Concerts are presented on Monday and Thursday evenings (weather permitting) from June 22 until July 30th. This year we will list all of the Fort Reno concerts in the tours section of the Dischord website.
As always these free Fort Reno Concerts are organized by volunteers and rely entirely on your donations to pay for permits, sound systems and expenses.

Clark Sabine 1975-2009

Clark Sabine, our friend and fellow musician, died Tuesday evening after a short but intense last battle with cancer. He was 33 years old. Clark played in Statehood, Andalusians, and Motorcycle Wars, where his hilarious and ridiculous stage entrances are still legend around these parts. He was a character with manic creative energy who held a deep affection for all of us who shared his passion for music in the Washington, DC underground.
He will be missed.
Our hearts go out to his family, bandmates, and friends. They formed an incredible support network in the last few weeks of his life, surrounding him with love and comfort, as well as laughter... that joy that Clark shared with so many of us.
A "Celebration of Life" ceremony will be held for Clark on Sunday June 21st at 11:30am at the Fairfax Country Club.

Fugazi "In On The Killtaker" Re-Mastered LP Now Available

The Fugazi 12" LP, In On The Killtaker, has been re-cut and re-mastered and is now available from our website and in stores.
The album was re-cut at Chicago Mastering Service from the Silver Sonya masters.
