Almost the entire Dischord catalog is available for direct download in the form of high quality (320 kbps), non-restricted (DRM-free), mp3 files. Our system offers a unique hybrid of the direct sale and subscription based download services. Customers have the option to download entire albums for a set price, purchase Digital Credits that can be used to download individual songs, or receive a free album download with the purchase of a 12" vinyl LP.
To download individual songs from our store you will need to purchase Digital Credits. Digital Credits are available in blocks of 15 (one song per Credit = 15 songs).

MP3 Delivery: Simply click on Buy Digital Credits and add the number of Digital Credits you wish to purchase to your shopping cart and complete the checkout process. Once you have purchased credits all you have to do is click on the + queue button next to any song(s) you would like to download and those songs will automatically appear in the My Digital Tracks download queue on your personal My Account page. Your My Account page is where you will manage your downloads and keep track of Digital Credits, orders and personal information.
Please note that Digital Credits cannot be transferred into cash credit for physical sales and cannot be refunded.
Why credits, why not just sell individual tracks?
We chose to use a credit system instead of selling individual songs in order to avoid the the gratuitous surcharges that make credit card companies rich. We also thought a credit system would encourage people to experiment with various tracks from different artists.
Albums (and EPs), downloaded as a whole, do not require Digital Credits and can be purchased for the following unit prices:

All eligible Dischord 12" LPs and EPs purchased from our website, and specially marked 12" LPs purchased in stores will also include a free MP3 download of that album. This promotional offer applies to full Dischord titles only (no half label items unless otherwise noted).
MP3 Delivery For Website Purchases: Once the LP has been purchased and you have completed the checkout process, the songs will appear in the My Digital Tracks download queue on your personal My Account page for you to download. Your My Account page is where you will manage your downloads and keep track of Digital Credits, orders and personal information.
MP3 Delivery For Store Purchases (with Download Code): First, you will need to create a (free) personal account on our website. Then go to www.dischord.com/redeem_promo and enter the unique 12 digit code that is printed on your coupon. Once the code has been entered the songs will appear in the My Digital Tracks download queue on your personal My Account page for you to download. Your My Account page is where you will manage your downloads and keep track of Digital Credits, orders and personal information.

We do not recommend using our download service unless you have a modest technical understanding of your home computer and its music software. Dischord cannot be held responsible for customer software or hardware systems that may be incompatible with the delivery or functionality of MP3 files, nor can we be held responsible for any damage incurred by the improper handling of these files.
Please note that due to size limitations we do not offer albums as single file downloads, rather as individual tracks. We also do not support third party download managers, which can flood our system with unsupported data requests and compromise your tracks.
