This was one of many fantastic shows I attended at the Phoenix Center. Perfect weather. Great set list. Now, Pontiac is a very run down and semi-scary place. Tumbleweeds, graffiti, litter, and broken glass populate the Phoenix now. Quite sad. Anyway...I had the time of my life at this gig. Great time with my good friend, Ethan.

I was here! So cool I can hear it again! I was 18, first and only time I got to see them. I remember Ian was walking around in the crowd before the show and it was outside.

One of the most memeorable shows I've been to. My cousin and I were 15 and got dropped off in Pontiac by my aunt. We told her we'd find a ride home. Saw a kid who could not be more than 10 crowd surfing and loving it.

Definitely an enjoyable concert, and a decent sounding recording to boot.
I very much like the intro where Ian advises "If you must do this crowdsurf thing, pass them backwards so these people on the barricades don't get their heads crushed all night, okay? It's really a drag to watch it from this point of view, just watching people endlessly, endlessly, coming over and these people all having to like watch their necks. So just do everybody a favour and pass them backwards, it's really a simple concept". Maybe it would have been befitting to kick off the set with Exit Only :)
Note that Fugazi played to an audience of 5000 attendees on this particular occasion!

@KarL G Nelson -- I was like, $6.50? What are you talking about? $5! And then I looked at my stub more closely.

This was easily the best bang for the buck I've ever had at a concert. $6.50 for a two-hour-plus set.

I also remember this as the night I got sick of cigars. I'd bought a new pack of Swisher Sweets for the show, and proceeded to chain-smoke them until I'd gone through all six. Halfway through the last one, I realized that it was one of the most disgusting things ever. I never went near them again.

Still have the ticket stub:

First time I ever saw Fugazi. I was 14 years old and weighed a buck thiry, soaking wet. I had to talk some of my older, metal friends into driving.
