Lamont Park is located at Mount Pleasant and Lamont Streets NW, in Washington, DC.

Over the last ten years a private citizens group has pressured all the restaurants and bars in Mount Pleasant to give up their right to host live (even acoustic) music, in an exchange for a pledge not to launch expensive challenges their liquor licenses. Now a range of artists, musicians and community groups are fighting back and trying to overturn the ban and bring back the ability of restaurants to host music in a responsible way.

'Hear Mount Pleasant' is organizing a series of mini-festivals this year to build support for the campaign and to showcase the contributions musicians and artists make to building vibrant communities.
